Cheap International Call Provider – Firstnumber.co.uk – Aiming To Help Small Businesses Recover From The Recession

A UK based cheap international call provider has pledged to help small businesses recover from the recession by raising awareness about the benefits of direct dial access codes.

Firstnumber.co.uk currently offers over 250 access codes that allow consumers and businesses to make cheap international calls at a heavily discounted rate.

Firstnumber.co.uk spokesperson Andy Steele hopes the service will allow small businesses to save money whilst recovering from the recession.

“The recession has been a tough time for everyone let alone smaller businesses and especially those that are only in their first few years of trading. Undoubtedly, business owners will be looking for ways to save money and in doing so can often overlook basics such as utilities.

Using an access code is not only simple to do but could easily slice hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds off your phone bill.”

Direct dial access codes work by placing a designated code in front of the number you wish to call.

The code then applies a discounted rate allowing users to call destinations such as Argentina, Canada, Thailand and Argentina for as little as 2 pence per minute.

Ways in which businesses could stand to save money couldn't come at a better time.

Finance experts are predicting some 28,000 small to medium businesses will go bust during 2010 which follows a jump of 220per cent in the number of firms declaring bankruptcy the year before.

Although small businesses will be tightening their belts in some areas and scaling back in others, Andy Steele hopes that the flexibility of services such as Firstnumber.co.uk means telecoms remain affordable and supportive of the economic upturn.

“With direct dial access codes, users can call both mobiles and landlines. This means businesses aren't pigeon holed into calling one or the other which is often the restriction when trying to save money.

Instead businesses have call flexibility and can operate like normal but at a heavily reduced cost. Hopefully making noticeable savings on their phone bills will allow potentially vulnerable companies the chance to redistribute funds and allow for future growth.”
