Antiques and Collectibles Newsletter is posted. The 12-page, color-illustrated
newsletter is available to subscribers in print and online from the Kovels’ website
at http://www.kovels.com .Here are this month\'s featured stories:
An R.S. Prussia cake plate that would have made an impression at any party, recently
sold for $750 at a Kansas auction. Nearly 250 lots of R.S. Prussia items from a
private collection were offered. For more information about R.S. Prussia, see the
Kovels\' July newsletter.
Toy collectors got a little wound up at the sale of Robert Lesser\'s collection of
space toys. A circa 1960\'s Astroman robot walked away from the auction for $9,605,
and some robots sold for lots more. You can take an outer space tour in this month\'s
issue.
The average person would have thrown out an empty Mickey Mantle glove box. But an
above average collector saved one and sold it for $2,115 at auction. There\'s more
information on baseball throwaways in July\'s newsletter.
The invention of plastic in the last century excited furniture designers. Chairs
were made in new shapes and colors - and some sell today for bargain prices. A
1970\'s \"Plona\" folding chair designed by Giancarlo Piretti auctioned for just $60.
For more information about plastic seating, see the July issue.
Eye-catching Machine Age radios that can\'t even pull in an FM signal are of great
interest to collectors who want the radios for their looks. And they paid big bucks
for them at a recent Mastro auction. Find out what was selling and for how much in
this month\'s issue.
The July issue of the Kovels’ newsletter also includes regular monthly features,
such as the News Flash, Collector’s Gallery questions and answers and Buyer’s Price
Guide.

else brings the collector up to date on the latest prices, trends and news in the
