Press Release Body: (LOUISVILLE, July 28, 2008) - Chance\'s Spot, Pet Loss and Support Resources, would like to invite all friends of animals to visit our new Honoring the Animals Candlelight Vigil Web site. The site has been created to allow visitors to access information about this year\'s vigil to be held on National Pet Memorial Day, September 14, at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater.

\"Last year was such a huge success that we\'ve decided to let people have their pet\'s name added to the official program,\" says Chance\'s Spot Founder, Gail Heller. \"We\'ll read the names out loud again this year, but they\'ll also be in print for everyone to see.\"

For a $10 donation, visitors from all over the world can add their pet\'s name to the event program. Those who are unable to attend the vigil may have their copy mailed to them.

The site also allows visitors to make a reservation and sign up to receive updates via email about the event. There\'s even a HTA 2008 Commemorative Bracelet available for online ordering.

Anyone wanting to attend or find more information about the event is asked to visit: www.honoringtheanimals.org.

Chance\'s Spot provides an online support group, publications on pet loss, hotline numbers, referrals and an online tributes page where pet caregivers can post tributes to their departed pets. Locally, Chance\'s Spot provides educational presentations and a monthly support group to assist the community in understanding the grief associated with losing a pet and how to cope. Area shelters, veterinarians and rescue groups also receive support and information about compassion fatigue - the stress resulting from caring for and helping traumatized animals on a daily basis. Chance\'s Spot hopes to someday be the first and only organization in the country to provide a memorial garden, pet loss education center and trained staff available to veterinarians and their patients.
