Houston Richmond, II is a native Memphian and Germantown High School graduate. He works in accounting during the day, and is quiet, unassuming intellectual. However, come Saturday night, Houston Richmond becomes DJ Houston, chief party rocker at top Memphis clubs, like The Plush Club, with a live remote on Memphis’ K97 FM, from 10-midnight.
With over seven years of experience, DJ Houston has amassed various awards and accolades, one his most prized being his 2005 award for “DJ of the Year,” from the Southern Entertainment Awards. He also has five highly requested mix tapes. Partygoers at nightclubs, corporate events, Greek organization events, and more have long recognized Houston’s skills on the microphone and the turntables.
