Real Estate Pain for Many May Become a Gain for Single Women

Released on: April 27, 2008, 9:11 am

Press Release Author: SingleMinded, LLC

Industry: Real Estate

Press Release Summary: According to Greg Bechelli, a Certified Mortgage Planner, at
Residential Pacific Mortgage in the San Francisco Bay area, there may not be a
better time for a single woman to purchase a home than now.

Press Release Body: Bechelli, who has been a top performing mortgage planner for
over ten years in one of the nation’s most costly real estate markets, suggests
single women with a steady employment record, some savings, and a respectable credit
score, should consider a real estate purchase now. In certain areas home and condo
prices have dropped in value by more than 25%, opening the door to some great
bargains.

Many wait for the market to hit bottom before beginning to look for real estate.
This may be a mistake, as one can not predict if or when housing prices will
decrease further. Indicators show that current housing prices are as low as they
will get. Yet, some markets have seen small increases in the price of housing,
suggesting the real estate market may be recovering from the downturn. In spite of
this, single women can still find homes for literally hundreds of thousands less
than what they would have sold for just a couple of years ago.

“Homes that sold two years ago for $435,000 are getting bids as low as $325,000.
Often, however, those bids are pushed aside for better offers. In one such example
covered in a report by an online financial site last week, a home in Sacramento,
California that had sold two years ago for $435,000 received nine bids and was sold
for $365,000.” – www.SingleMindedWomen.com, Hunting for Real Estate Bargains.

Single women are the second largest group of home purchasers in the U.S. In fact, 1
out of every 5 homes purchased today is by a single women. But, according to
Bechelli: ” There are still a lot of women sitting out there today who have
convinced themselves that they could not qualify for a home loan. Bechelli
recommends single women considering purchasing a home in the next 12 months should
get started now by meeting with a certified mortgage planner.

Remember, smart buyers strike when the prices are low!
