The toss of the match was won by the Superstars who chose to bat first. Openers
Vignesh and Devendrum came on field. The latter could not survive for long but
Vignesh had some style to his game today which lasted 40 runs but just 19 balls. He
hit six fours and two sixes for this score. Arnold could contribute just 9 runs to
the score and was dismissed. Badani and Sathish were the ones to revive the run rate
again and hit some great shots. Badani scored 36 runs and Sathish made 86 runs for
the team. With these contributions, the team score shot up to 186 runs and was a
daunting target for the rivals.

The Kolkata Tigers had a good start but that could not last very long. Dasgupta and
Klusner were dismissed in quick succession after 34 and 14 respectively before the
end of 6 overs. Jhunjhunwala could also not do a better job than 14 runs and was
dismissed by Kumaran. McMillan, the captain of the team managed to get an express 35
runs off 22 balls and was dismissed. Then the team started to see a downfall and the
middle and lower order crashed badly. The team finished at 154 runs giving the
Superstars a reason to rejoice with their place in finals after the 32 run victory
that they had achieved.
