Another giant win for Badshahs against the Delhi Giants

Released on: March 31, 2008, 1:15 am

Press Release Author: Madan Sharma

Industry: Media

Press Release Summary: With the Delhi Giants who won the toss and batted first, it
is not very obvious whether it took a toll on them.

Press Release Body: The Badshahs have once again shown their power, potential and
supremacy in the game of cricket. The Delhi Giants who were playing in their home
ground in Gurgaon were given a massive defeat by the Badshahs and it was great to
watch the winners in action.

With the Delhi Giants who won the toss and batted first, it is not very obvious
whether it took a toll on them. Their score was really dwarfed by the Badshahs
bowlers and the fall of wickets was a great scene to watch. The running of the
innings was slow but smooth with the openers Gunawardene and Mishra who managed to
get the run rate going. In the ninth over, the team was at a score of 53 for one
when the wicket of Mishra fell. That moment is considered as a weak one and it was
after that the continuous fall of wickets began. In the span of around 28 runs, the
team had lost seven wickets and the position was irreversible. When the innings
ended the score of the team was just a measly 103 which was by no means sufficient
to defeat the Badshahs.

The target was just 104 runs for the Badshahs and Imran Farhat and Nazir seemed
confident enough and so did the other players. Farhat however was lost to Sudhindra
soon on just 1 run. Nazir however stayed and made runs with Humayun initially and
after his dismissal, by partnership with Hasan Raza. Imran was the highest scorer in
the match with 60 runs off 47 balls. Mushtaq Ahmed, who triggered off the fall of
wickets and grabbed three, was awarded the Man of the Match.
