birth of the two famous bakeshops in Philippines history, the Red Ribbon Bakeshop
and the Goldilocks Bakery.

Red Ribbon Bakeshop has been with us since our childhood days, Red Ribbon Bakeshop
has been serving as with their unique and savory cakes for more than 20 years, but
when does Red Ribbon Bakeshop first opened its door? Where was the place where Red
Ribbon Bakeshop first serving the Filipino customers?

Red Ribbon Bakeshop is a popular fast-food chain and bakery in the Philippines and
the United States, offering a wide range of cakes and pastries. The Red Ribbon
Bakeshop began in 1979 in Quezon City along Timog Avenue and started franchising in
the year of 1999.

In 1984, Red Ribbon Bakeshop opened their first US branch in West Covina,
California. Today, there are more than 80 branches all over the Philippines, and
there are now 15 stores all over California.

In the year of 2005, the Red Ribbon Bakeshop was acquired by Jollibee Food
Corporation, the most popular fast-food chain here in the Philippines.

But before Red Ribbon Bakeshop first opened their doors, there is another bakeshop
that was started 13 years ahead of Red Ribbon Bakeshop, the Goldilocks Bakery.

Goldilocks Bakery (also known as Goldilocks Bakery and Restaurant) is a
Philippine-based chain of bakeshops specializing in Filipino cakes and pastry. It
has branches not only throughout the Philippines, but also in the United States
(currently confined to California and a single location in Las Vegas, Nevada) and
there is also one Goldilocks Bakery in Vancouver, Canada, where they cater for the
Filipino expatriate communities there.

Goldilocks Bakery was opened in 1966 as a family business and started in a one-door
apartment of a two-story structure on Pasong Tamo Street, Makati City. The
Goldilocks Bakery boasts its number 192 branch throughout that Philippines and the
abroad, and Goldilocks Bakery first opened its US branch in 1976, at Artesia,
California.

The Goldilocks Bakery main product lines includes cakes and breads, sweets and
pastries. Some Goldilocks Bakery branches incorporate a Foodshop, offering Filipino
cuisine, including beef, chicken, pork, seafood and vegetable dishes as well as
their Thirst Quenchers, such as halo-halo, gulaman, fruit salad and sago.
