Press Release Body = Telesoft has produced test results to demonstrate the significant performance figures produced during testing of its SIGTRAN M3UA stacks. These tests confirm that whilst M3UA undoubtedly presents a highly cost effective SS7 over IP solution to telecommunications operators, in addition the Telesoft SIGTRAN offering is a robust carrier grade implementation which offers very high performance.
Telesoft has demonstrated that the M3UA SIGTRAN stack can quickly and effectively be implemented into a live network scenario delivering performance well in excess of 4000 TPS, (Transactions per Second), between ASP, (Application Service Point), and SG, (Signalling Gateway), nodes.
The tests proved that many thousand of transactions could be processed per second, with this level of performance being maintained for long periods of time with no degradation in service. SMS delivery sequences produced equally impressive results of over 2000 SMS deliveries per second.

\"If you consider the rate of 2000 SMS deliveries per second and try to put this in terms of traditional low speed SS7 links, then you would need in the region of 64 links running at over 80% occupancy. This is double the safe limit that many operators set for live deployment; in reality most operators would deploy over 150 low speed links to match the performance of our SIGTRAN implementation.\"
