2N Mobility Extension selected as a Toshiba Recommended Product

Released on = April 20, 2007, 7:07 am

Press Release Author = Dalila Thoribova

Industry = Telecommunications

Press Release Summary = Toshiba BCD through our partner from United Kingdom Wavelink
Communications tested 2N Mobility Extension for its Strata CIX Systems

Press Release Body = What is Mobility Extension?
Mobility Extension will transform your office fixed line into a mobile phone and
thus give you maximum flexibility. In practical terms that means, that you do not
have to be in your office while waiting for important calls, or worry that you are
going to miss a call that could mean a significant business deal for you. You can be
reached on your way to work or at home, if you choose to work there. Your mobile
phone fully replaces the fixed line and rings along it. It is entirely up to you,
which phone you will pick up.

Toshiba BCD through our partner from United Kingdom Wavelink Communications tested
2N Mobility Extension for its Strata CIX Systems
Toshiba Business Communications Division announced that 2N Mobility Extension has
been selected as a Toshiba Recommended Product. 2N Mobility Extension (ME) delivers
the functionality of office extensions to mobile phones, giving users access to key
features of Strata CIX such as voicemail, hold and call forwarding, while out of the
office.

The company says 2N Mobility Extension can quickly and cost-effectively improve an
organisation\'s availability, ensuring that customers get through to employees first
time, every time. The product offers Toshiba partners an excellent value added sale
for existing customers of Toshiba\'s Strata solutions.

The technology works by ‘twinning\' the Strata CIX extension with a nominated mobile
phone. When a user receives a call, the PBX extension will ring either at the same
time as the mobile phone, or following a preset time delay. The call can be answered
on either device, but if the call is received on the mobile phone, the mobile acts
as an analogue PBX extension, no matter where the user is located.

In addition to delivering a cost effective one number access solution, 2N Mobility
Extension can help customers to save on call costs. Calls to company mobiles can be
free, and organisations can reduce international call costs from mobiles by making
these calls via the Strata CIX.
The 2N Mobility Extension product provides up to 48 users with the ability to use
their mobile phone as an extension off the Strata CIX communication platform.

\"The ability to respond quickly to customers and manage communications effectively
is critical to any successful business. 2N Mobility Extension can help achieve those
aims by ensuring employees are always available, wherever they are,\" said Tim Webb,
general manager, Toshiba BCD. \"We\'re delighted to be working with Wavelink to offer
this product to our channel, and I think it will prove an ideal addition to any
Strata CIX system.\"
